My Saint Patrick’s Day 2013 Manicure

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for tuning in today! Tomorrow is Saint Patrick’s Day, so for today, I thought I’d share what I wore for Saint Patrick’s day in 2013, which I recall taking a decent amount of time to complete!

Spring green grass water marbles…

With rainbow accent nails.

So bright and vibrant.

I low-key love some of the pictures that include random details, such as the sleeve of my sweater being shown in the background, haha.

I’m glad I took so many photos of this manicure, as it was quite time-consuming to complete.

The glitter was so thick it kind of smothered the rainbow, lol.

If I were to recreate this look, I’d do the water marble the same or very similar; however, for the rainbow, I’d outline it so it looks more defined, though I really like it without an outline too.

A lot of nail polishes were involved in the making of this manicure! Keep in mind, I did this over ten years ago, so a lot of what I used back then is no longer available. My goodness, if it wasn’t for me documenting a lot of these manicures, I wouldn’t have a clue as to what I used for certain things lol.

All of the nail polishes used for the grass-themed water marble: (on the index, middle & pinky fingers) were: Pop Beauty Raw (I used this for the base color and in the water marble), Milani Hi-Tech, China Glaze In The Limelight, Rimmel London Rags to Riches, Zoya Frida, Zoya Holly, & Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond. For the base of the ring & thumb fingers, I used a coat of Zoya Purity, one coat of Chick Nail Polish Hipster Chick, and a coat of Sinful Colors Smoking Hot for the base.

For the rainbows, I used: China Glaze In the Limelight, Hard Candy Splendid, Zoya Sooki, China Glaze Frostbite, Zoya Purity (the clouds), & Color Club Age Of Aquarius mixed with some of Zoya Purity and China Glaze Frostbite, & topped off this entire manicure with Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope.

I almost forgot to mention I used a dotting tool to create the rainbow and clouds. 🙂 Very easy, just a little time-consuming, but not too bad.

The brand Chick Nail Polish was an indie brand from many years ago and is no longer around. Hipster Chick is pretty much a lime green cream with silver holographic glitter scattered throughout it, so you could take Limestone by Sally Hansen:https://amzn.to/47ADzbv

and layer Shine On Crazy Diamond over it, and get an extremely similar look.

Color Club Age of Aquarius (they’ve changed the formula and made it a little lighter than the original, but I think it will still work pretty well): https://amzn.to/3QUdKfo
