Color Club Wild At Heart & Zoya Thea

Monday, January 18, 2016

Hello! My first post on this blog! Yay!
This is one of those manis I did last year & never posted anywhere…
This was a very simple manicure with Color Club Wild At Heart as the main color, & Zoya Thea for a sparkly accent nail.
Wild At Heart is a grape purple holographic; & Zoya describes Thea as
a deep amethyst Magical PixieDust with an orchid flash, packed full of holographic hex glitter. ♥

I loved this combo so much that I’d definitely wear it again.

This post has been updated as of 1/25/24

Since Wild At Heart by Color Club is no longer being sold, Eternal Beauty by Color Club is another solid alternative.

Illamasqua Creator

Sunday, January 24, 2016

Another manicure from last year is two coats of Illamasqua Creator with black & silver rhinestones.
Illamasqua Creator is loaded with tons of small silver & holographic glitters in a black-cream base.
Polishes like this are right up my alley. ♥ I love them so much.

This post has been updated as of 1/25/2024
Illamasqua ‘s Creator has been discontinued for a few years now. So I did some research and found what seems to be a pretty solid dupe for it:

Valentine’s Day Nail Art

Sunday, February 14, 2016

Happy Valentine’s day everyone! Today I have this Valentine’s day nail art design to share with you!

The nail polishes I used for the nails with the water marble were: China Glaze Red Satin, China Glaze White Cap, Sinful Shine Wisp, & Sally Hansen Cha-Ching.

For the half-heart nails, I used: Zoya Aspen, black acrylic paint, Zoya Ginni, & Sally Hansen Cha-Ching.

The half-hearts aren’t absolutely perfect, but overall I like the way everything came out.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.

I was able to find everything but Zoya’s Ginni from a source I would also personally order from… It’s been discontinued and I had no idea until I was just looking at it! I thought sure I just saw it on Zoya’s website and on Amazon not too long ago but apparently, I had to have been wrong because it appears that it’s been discontinued for quite a while now… crazy but not that crazy since it did come out like nine years ago haha. But I’d thought they’d keep it around since it did seem to be a decently popular nail polish. Well, anyway, do let me know if any link doesn’t work or if anything is sold out since some of the polishes I did find links for are discontinued as well. UPDATE: Well now, it’s not just Ginni but Cha-Ching by Sally Hansen as well. Dang. That’s unfortunate.

Glittery Multi-Chromatic Nails

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

Hello everyone, I hope you all doing well!

Today I’ve got this glittery multi-chromatic manicure to show you. ^_^

On the thumb, index, and pinky fingernails I applied one coat of Zoya Dagmara and one coat of Nubar Star Sparkles. On the middle & ring fingers, I did a water marble & glitter border.

For the water marble, I used Zoya Ki & Revlon Chameleon; and for the glitter border, I used Nubar Star Sparkles, once again. 🙂

Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the way these turned out!

I’m honestly not 100% sure if Revlon’s Chameleon is discontinued or not but I know for a fact all Nubar nail polishes are because the brand Nubar no longer makes nail polish. I seriously wonder why because they’ve made some all-time next-level amazing nail polishes. As of this update, Zoya’s Ki is currently not discontinued, thankfully because it is an extra gorgeous polish. 🥰

UPDATE: Revlon’s Chameleon is a  very unique shade, that I do believe is now discontinued. So not only do I not have a link for it, but I don’t have an alternate recommendation for the time being.

Kiko Pearly Golden Green

Sunday, April 10, 2016

Hello! I really need to post here more often… I feel like it’s been thirty years.

Anyway, today I have swatches of a Kiko polish to show you!
Kiko is becoming a favorite brand of mine.
Their polishes are inexpensive & the quality is excellent.

Here is Pearly Golden Green by Kiko:

Pearly Emerald Green is an emerald green with a metallic foil finish and is loaded with gold & bright green glass-looking flecks.

Please excuse the awkward hand pose, lol.

I absolutely love this polish! The formula was fast-drying and was very easy to work with. ♥

This post has been updated as of 1/25/2024

So while Kiko’s Pearly Golden Green is no longer sold, one nail polish that’s still available comes to my mind that’s similar, but just more cool-toned:

Butter London Muggins & Sinful Colors Love Sprinkles

Monday, April 11, 2016

Hello there!
I have a ton of manicures from last year that I never posted anywhere on the internet… and this is one of them. This is Butter London Muggins & Sinful Colors Love Sprinkles.

Two coats of Butter London Muggins & one coat of Sinful Colors Love Sprinkles.

Muggins is a very cool-toned lilac with slightly gray undertones, and Love Sprinkles is a clear-based polish with matte white and pink hexes, and matte white hearts in a clear base.

I remember Muggins had a very creamy, easy-to-work-with formula just like all the other Butter London polishes I’ve tried. Love Sprinkles was a pleasure to work with, as well. As you can see, in one coat you get pretty good coverage.

Thanks for reading. Xoxo.

This post has been updated as of 1/5/2024

Yeah, I tried to find dupes for Muggins, but couldn’t. If I ever find one, I’ll be sure to update this.

Love Sprinkles by Sinful Colors was a limited edition release for Valentine’s Day in 2015. I searched, but couldn’t find it anywhere online, so no links for this post. 🙁

Julep Lydia

Monday, April 11, 2016

Hello there! Today I have some photos of Julep Lydia to share with you.

Two coats of Julep Lydia.

Julep describes Lydia as a pyrite-textured polish… I’d say that’s pretty accurate.

This polish has a very thick opaque formula, and if you’re careful enough you could actually get away with one coat.

I wore this polish for about four days and had little to no chips. More than anything else I was very impressed with how well it wore, (mind you I’m extremely hard on my nails, so the fact that it lasted that long without any top coat is very impressive.)

I think Juleps textured polishes are amazing. They wear well, and they usually have really good formulas. I love them.

Sinful Colors Sugar High

Tuesday, April 12, 2016

Hi there! Today I have another textured polish to show you.
This one is from the Live in Color Land collection that Sinful Colors released for spring this year.

Three coats of Sinful Colors Sugar High.

Sugar High is a textured deep blue with pink, blue, & purple shimmer.

Oh my goodness. It is so pretty! These photos don’t do it justice, it looks way prettier in person!
Because it is a textured polish, it dries very quickly, and it has a formula that is very easy to work with.
My only (very small) complaint is that it is a bit on the sheer side and did take three coats.
But because it’s such a pretty polish, I really don’t mind at all!
I wore this polish for about five days with little to no chips, which is extremely impressive for a drugstore-textured polish!

Overall, I am delighted with this polish. It has a good formula, dries quickly, and wears well.
I’m very impressed!

Color Club Love ‘Em Leave ‘Em & Zoya Bar

Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Hi there.
Today I have another one of those manicures I did last year and never posted anywhere.
Here is Color Club Love ‘Em Leave ‘Em & Zoya Bar!

Two coats of Color Club Love ‘Em Leave ‘Em, & three thick coats of Zoya Bar.

Sun must’ve gone behind a cloud…

Love ‘Em Leave ‘Em is a warm light gold with a subtle holographic effect, and Zoya describes Bar as a glittery nude topaz in the ultra-textured matte, holographic Magical Pixie formula.
I absolutely love this combination! It’s so glam, yet neutral at the same time. ^_^
Love ‘Em Leave ‘Em was an easy two coats, whereas Bar is definitely much more on the sheer side.
As you can see in the pictures, you can still kind of see through to my nail a bit, even after three thick coats!
But this polish is so pretty, I really don’t mind it being so sheer.

Zoya Bar

I don’t have a dupe/alternative to Color Club Love Em’ Leave Em’ as of right now. If you have any suggestions for something similar, do let me know in the comment section down below near the button on this page!

My Glittery Birthday Mani

Sunday, April 24, 2016

Hey everyone! Today I have the manicure I’m wearing today for my birthday!
I wanted something really sparkly, so this is what I came up with!

The sparkly 18th birthday mani.

Nail polishes used: Zoya Arlo, Julep Queen Anne, Zoya Cosmo, Nubar Star Sparkle, Zoya Vega, Sally Hansen Bling-tastic, Zoya Bar, Sephora Rich Gold, Zoya Ginni, & Zoya Lux.   Goodness, that was a lot of polish!

Sparrrrkkllleee.

Yep, that was my birthday manicure!

It was extremely easy to create. All I did was a one-color glitter gradient on all of the nails… that’s it. Oh, and I made sure that the color I used for the gradient was in the same color family as the polish I used for the base! I did that because I wanted the gradient to be subtle.

Thanks for reading! xoxo

Zoya Muse

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

Hello everyone!
Today I’ve got this gorgeous Zoya nail polish to share with you!

 Two coats of Zoya Muse.♥

Oh my… ♥_♥ SO PRETTY!

Ridiculously stunning. I mean… LOOK AT IT!

Zoya describes this as a blue raspberry fizz with a subtle vein of gold.
It’s soooooo pretty. ♥_♥
I’m just sitting here wondering what took me so long to wear it! I’ve had it for well over a year, and I’m just now getting around to wearing it!
It’s crazy… but anyway, this polish was a very easy two-coater. ♥ I love it.

Pink & Nude Glitter Mani

Thursday, May 12, 2016

Hi, guys! Today I have another one of those manicures I did well over a year ago!

 Gliiiittttteeeerrrrr.

Yeah, I did this manicure so long ago that don’t even remember what I used exactly, and unfortunately, I didn’t write down what I used.

I know for sure I used Wet n Wild Yo Soy for the nude base, and the holographic glitter on top is Revlon Holographic Pearls.

As for the pink nails, I think I used China Glaze Hang Ten-Toes for the base, and I can see that I layered Orly Shine on Crazy Diamond on top.

As you can see on the middle nail, I created a border around the entire nail using pink rhinestones. 🙂

I love doing border nails with rhinestones.

Thanks for reading. Xoxo.

This post was last updated on 1/25/2024:

Sinful Colors Sweeten The Teal

Friday, May 13, 2016

Hello everyone! Today I’ve got another polish from the Sinful Colors Live in Color Land collection to show you!

Three coats of Sweeten The Teal by Sinful Colors.

 Another awesome textured polish.

Sweeten The Teal is a teal green textured polish, packed with a bunch of green & gold metallic shimmer. Very pretty.
The formula is decent… it’s a little on the sheer side (it needed three coats) but it dries super fast so I don’t mind.
This is another great textured polish from Sinful Colors! I love it. ♥

Sinful Colors Sweeten The Teal

Sinful Colors Sweeten The Teal

At the time of updating this post, there is only one left by a reliable seller. This nail polish has been discontinued for many years now, so once that one sells out, I won’t even have a dupe to provide for you because I seriously don’t know of any nail polishes that look remotely close to this one. If you know of any, definitely let me know!

Dark Seafoam Green

Sunday, May 15, 2016

Hi there! Today I’ve got another old manicure from last year to show you!

Seafoam green.♥

I used two coats of Chick Nail Polish Gavie Green for the base of this entire manicure.
For the water marble, I used Wet n Wild Black Creme, the same polish that I used for the base, and for the glitter gradient, I only used one nail polish, and that was Orly Sparkling Garbage.
Lastly, I ended up layering some Pixel Nail Polish Pixel Dust, and Orly Green Flake Topcoat on all the nails.

This post was last updated on 1/26/2024:

Morgan Taylor Under The Stars

Monday, May 16, 2016

Hi there.
Today I have this stunning Morgan Taylor polish to show you.

Two coats of Morgan Taylor Under The Stars. ♥

It’s like you’re looking into the night sky…

♥ I looooovvveeee it. ♥

Under The Stars by Morgan Taylor is a navy blue jelly with metallic silver glitter and holographic silver glitter.
Words can’t express how much I love nail polishes like this!
It looks like you have a night sky on your nails, and to top everything off, it had an amazing formula! It was very opaque and easy to work with, I almost didn’t need a second coat.

Because this polish has such a nice formula and is so pretty, this might be an all-time favorite nail polish of mine, and that’s really saying something.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, I LOVE IT!

Kiko Cranberry Microglitter

Thursday, May 26, 2016

Hello, everyone!
Today I have some swatches of Kiko Cranberry Micro Glitter to show you.

Three coats of Cranberry Microglitter by Kiko

A lovely polish for the fall.

Cranberry Microglitter is a pretty metallic reddish pink with a bright pink metallic shimmer.
I like it.
I honestly don’t have much to say about it except that, It’s a tad on the sheer side requiring three coats, but aside from that it dries quickly and isn’t streaky like some metallic polishes tend to be.

This nail polish, like quite a few of the nail polishes I’ve featured in my art and swatches, is no longer available. So at this point, as I try and update these posts, I’ll try to include something similar that you can try for a similar look.

This post has been updated as of 1/26/2024

To find Kiko’s Cranberry Microglitter is extremely hard now, so I have a nail polish  I will recommend in its place. It’s not an exact dupe, but it’s a decent match.

One day I may revisit this post and see if I could come up with an even closer match, but that’s what I’ve got for now!

Zoya Chita

Friday, May 27, 2016

Hello, everyone. Today I have a swatch from a couple of weeks ago to share with you!

One coat of Chita by Zoya.

A lovely forest green.♥

Zoya describes Chita as a forest green in a matte, textured, sparkling finish.
It is absolutely stunning, and I love how it’s fully opaque in one coat.
This wasn’t my first time wearing this polish.
I’ve worn this polish at least five times, not including when I’ve used it for nail art.
It’s certainly an all-time favorite textured polish of mine, however, there is one thing I don’t like about it… It doesn’t wear very well. 🙁
It usually chips off within a day, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing it! It’s too pretty, haha.

Sinful Colors Surreally Sweet

Wednesday, June 1, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have a swatch of another textured polish from the Sinful Colors Live in Color Land collection to show you!

Two coats of Sinful Colors Surreally Sweet.

Surreally Sweet is a textured deep magenta with pink & bluish-purple micro glitter.
It was a very easy two-coater, and like most textured polishes, it dried fast.
Although this polish is really pretty, it’s still my least favorite textured polish that I’ve tried, so far from the Live In Color Land collection.
It’s just not as pretty as the others in my opinion…

This post has been updated as of 1/9/2024
I don’t have a link to this one nor do I have

Kiko Pistachio

Thursday, June 16, 2016

Hello, everyone! It’s been a while… I’m sorry I keep disappearing at random for like, two weeks at a time.
I swear I don’t do it on purpose!
It’s just that I think I haven’t posted in like two or three days, and then I check and it says I haven’t posted in two weeks, and I’m like, what!?
The year has been going by so fast for me! I can’t believe we’re past half of the year already!
Anyway, today I have a Kiko polish (which I don’t really like that much) to share with you! ^_^

Two coats of Kiko Pistachio. >_>

Bleh….

This post has been updated as of 1/8/2024

Kiko Pistachio is a pastel green polish with sprinkles of dark green, & orange glitters, and as you can see, it dries with a textured finish as well.
It’s not a terrible-looking polish, but I just don’t think it looks good on me.
The formula being a bit patchy and difficult to work with doesn’t help anything either.
Overall, I don’t like this polish, unfortunately. 🙁
But even though I don’t like it, I thought I’d share anyway because someone else might love polishes like this!

This post has been updated as of 1/9/2024
I do not have a link to this one or even anything remotely similar, lol.

Morgan Taylor Sweetest Thing

Friday, June 17, 2016

Hello there.
Today, I have swatches of a Morgan Taylor polish to share with you.

Three coats of Morgan Taylor Sweetest Thing.

It’s definitely on the sheer side…

Look at those bald patches, haha.

Sweetest Thing by Morgan Taylor has rosy-pink glitter with holographic glitter sprinkled throughout it in a clear base.
As you can see in the photos, it’s a bit sheer to wear by itself (see the bald spots?)
It’s one of those polishes that are a bit too sheer to be worn alone, but too opaque to be layered over nail art without smothering it.
Overall, I really like this glitter polish; it has a very easy-to-work-with, fast-drying formula.
I’m noticing Morgan Taylor’s polishes have really good formulas, and they have a pretty broad color selection to choose from; I’m certainly becoming a fan.

Wet n Wild Lay Out in Lavender & Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy

Thursday, June 23, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have a springy manicure that I did a few months ago to share with you!

I’m pretty sure this was two coats of Wet n Wild Lay Out in Lavender, & three coats of Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy.

Yeah, that seems right…

The main problem with posting old photos of manicures is that you tend to forget what you did. Haha.
I’m really trying to remember if I used two coats of the Lay Out in Lavender, or three… I’m pretty confident it was just two, and I know for sure that I used three coats of Sugarplum Fairy!
Anyways, Lay Out in Lavender is a nice, simple lavender cream, and Color Club Sugarplum Fairy is a light purple-based holographic glitter.
Lighter, more pastel colors can sometimes be difficult to work with, but I’m happy to say that Lay Out in Lavender is totally not like that! It has a very creamy, easy-to-work-with formula, and Sugarplum Fairy has a pretty nice formula, too; It dries very fast and is very opaque, as you can see. My only complaint is that it’s one of those top coat-eating glitter polishes! I’m sure I had to apply three layers of top coat, and it’s still not really shiny.
But yeah, I love these two polishes, on their own and together.
I’d have to say Sugarplum Fairy is an all-time favorite glitter polish of mine, and Lay Out in Lavender is one of my all-time favorite pastel polishes, as well.

L’oreal Masked Affair

Friday, June 24, 2016

Hi, everyone! Today I have swatches of a legendary nail polish I haven’t worn in over a year!

Two coats of the legendary Masked Affair by L’oreal.

So pretty. ♥_♥

Masked Affair by L’oreal is a scattered holographic gray with slight purple undertones.
This polish has such a nice formula and only needed two easy coats to become fully opaque.
I love this polish, and I think it’s very easy to see why it was so popular; It’s just an all-around awesome nail polish in every aspect.
Unfortunately, this nail polish was a limited edition and is now very hard to find.
So sad. 🙁 It was such an awesome polish!

Sephora Formula X Vortex

Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have swatches of a lovely textured polish to show you.

Two coats of Sephora Formula X Vortex.

Fancy shot, lol.

I love textured polishes…

Vortex by Formula X for Sephora is a textured cobalt blue with metallic golden flecks of shimmer.
The formula is quite thick but still easy to work with; it was almost fully opaque in one coat, and I can’t forget to mention that it dries very fast.
Aside from its beautiful color, finish, and formula, I don’t really know what else to say about it!
It’s just an awesome textured polish. I love it.

Zoya Cassedy

Wednesday, June 29, 2016

Hey guys! Today I’ve got swatches of a beautiful metallic polish to show you!

Two coats of Cassedy by Zoya.

One of those fancy hand poses, lol.

Zoya describes this polish as a full-coverage, celestial pewter metallic; I think that’s pretty accurate.
I picked it up from Whole Foods a couple of weeks ago and it’s stunning!
I always have high hopes for Zoya’s metallic polishes because they seem to do those best in my opinion, and this one doesn’t disappoint.
It has a pretty good formula; It only needed two coats and wasn’t streaky at all, like some metallic polishes tend to be.
Another lovely metallic polish!

Abstract 4th Of July Nails

Monday, July 4, 2016

Hello, everyone! Happy 4th of July to all of my fellow Americans.
Today I have the nail art that I wore today!

Splatter nail art with water marble accent fingers. ♥

A shot with the thumb included!!

A shot of the right hand with the thumb included!? WHAT!? Lol.

I thought I’d show you the brush I used for the splatter effect… Cool right?

For the splatter nails, I used Zoya Aspen for the base; Orly Star Spangled, Zoya Dream, and the super hard, powder brush (pictured above) to create the splatter effect.
As for the water marble nails, I used Zoya Aspen (the base of these nails, too), Rimmel London Stiletto Red, Sinful Shine Wisp, & Zoya Sailor.
After I finished the water marble, I felt like it needed something more, so I topped it off with some of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond.
Even after that, I still felt like the nails were lacking something… So I added some rhinestones!
Then I was satisfied, haha.
I really enjoyed creating these!

OPI My Pal Joey

Tuesday, July 5, 2016

Hi, everyone! Today I have swatches of a beautiful blue cream polish to share with you.

Two coats of OPI My Pal Joey

Reminds me of the old Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, a bit…

Lovely blue.

My Pal Joey by OPI is a primary blue cream with a really nice formula.
It applied very nicely and was fully opaque in two coats.
I love primary blue creams like this! I honestly don’t know what else to say about it, haha.
I guess I’ll end the post here!

This post has been updated as of 1/26/2024:

Friday, July 8, 2016

Hi, guys! Today I have the final textured polish from the Sinful Colors Spring 2016 Live In Color Land collection, to show you.

Three coats of Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth.

I like it.

A bit sheerer than I would have thought…

Sweet Tooth by Sinful Colors is a hot pink with coral undertones and pink iridescent micro glitter in a textured finish.
I really like this polish; I think it’s very vivid and happy-looking.
Overall, this polish is great, but the formula was a bit disappointing.
As I mentioned above, it needed three coats, which isn’t too bad, but even after three coats, you could see the nail line a little.
Out of all the other textured polishes from the collection, this one is probably my least favorite; but don’t get me wrong, I really like it, but it’s just not the best one in my opinion.

My favorite textured polishes from the collection:

1.

Three coats of Sugar High.

2.

Three coats of Sweeten The Teal.

3.

Two coats of Sureally Sweet.

4.

Three coats of Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth.

So tell me, which ones are your favorite, and in what order?
As you can see above, my favorite was Sugar High!
Yeah, it required three coats just like Sweet Tooth, but at least it was fully opaque!
Also, blue is my favorite color so it’s not surprising it’s my favorite. ^_^

Kiko Pink Flambé

Monday, July 11, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have a swatch of another Kiko polish to share with you!

Three coats of Kiko Pink Flambé without topcoat…

and with a topcoat!

Kiko Pink Flambé is a deep pink with a beautiful metallic shimmer.
I ended up liking this polish a lot more than I thought I would!
Pink nail polishes usually aren’t my thing, but this one is beautiful!
Pictures really aren’t doing the metallic shimmer justice; It’s beautiful.
I would have to say I do prefer it without a topcoat versus with.
Tell me, do you prefer it with, or without a topcoat? Let me know in the comment section below!

Kiko Anise

Friday, July 15, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today, I have another polish from Kiko to share with you!

Two coats of Kiko Anise.

So textured…

and bumpy.

Anise by Kiko is a pastel baby blue polish with dark blue sprinkles & a textured finish.
This polish is a little too textured in my opinion; it being overly textured makes it difficult to apply.
I sort of wanted to like this polish because it’s my favorite color (blue), and it does look kind of cool, but the formula is a huge turnoff for me.
If I had to give this polish a rating out of five stars, I’d give it 2 out of 5.
It looks interesting, but the formula is crappy.

Zoya Linds

Monday, August 1, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have a swatch of Zoya Linds to share with you!

2 coats of Linds by Zoya.

Beautiful red textured polish.

Lovely…

Zoya Linds is a cherry red, textured PixieDust with red and fuchsia glitter.
Another lovely textured polish by Zoya that has a good formula and only requires two coats.
I honestly don’t have much to say about this polish; I’m just glad the Zoya Pixiedusts aren’t going anywhere!

Zoya Bay

Thursday, August 4, 2016

Hi, everyone! Today I’ll be sharing Zoya Bay from the Summer 2016 PixieDust collection with you!

3 Coats of Bay by Zoya

I really like textured polishes…

Yep.

Zoya Bay is described by Zoya as a sky blue, textured PixieDust with fine silver and gold glitter creating a dreamy effect.
Yeah, I would have to admit that this polish does look pretty dreamy, especially in person.
The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the formula. As I mentioned above, this polish required three coats to achieve full opacity, which isn’t bad, but all the other polishes in the collection only needed two, so I was a little disappointed in how it was a bit more on the sheer side.
Overall, it’s a very nice polish that I would surely recommend, and if I had to give it a rating out of 5 stars… I’d give it 4/5!

Zoya Tilly

Friday, August 5, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have Zoya Tilly from the Seashells collection to share with you!

2 coats of Tilly by Zoya.

Ooh, so sparkly…

and textured.

Zoya describes Tilly as a starry gray, textured PixieDust with a small holographic glitter interwoven with a darker gunmetal.
Ah, this is such a beautiful silver-textured polish!
I think the sparkles in this one really stand out compared to the others, and I think this one looks more textured compared to the others, as well.
The formula is nice, and like I said above, it only required two coats! I love the Zoya PixieDust polishes. ♥_♥

Pokeball-inspired nail art for INAD

Saturday, August 6, 2016

Hello, everyone! Happy International Nail Art Day!!!
I honestly just found out today that it is INAD!

Because I found out on such short notice, I wasn’t able to create anything in particular for the holiday, so what I have is the manicure I am currently wearing! My Pokeball-inspired nail art! Haha.

Glittery Pokeball-inspired nails!

Gotta catch ’em all… lol.

I love glitter.

I was actually planning on posting these after I finished posting all of my swatches of the Zoya Summer PixieDust collection. Still, because today is INAD I decided to go ahead and post them now!
For the manicure, I used Zoya Aspen for the base and black and white acrylic paint for the details of the Pokeballs.
After I finished the details, (which were only a line and two dots) I went crazy with the glitter!
I applied Sinful Colors Decadent to the red part of the Pokeball, Color Club Snowflakes to the white part, Zoya Imogen to the black line, and layered a coat of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond all over the nails. 🙂

Sorry, this post was rushed, but Happy International Nail Art Day! I hope you have an awesome one!

Couldn’t find Color Club’s Snowflakes or anything even similar that’s still out there, so no link for that one.

Zoya Zooey

Wednesday, August 10, 2016

Hi, guys! Today, I am sharing Zoya Zooey from the 2016 Summer PixieDust collection with you!

Two coats of Zooey by Zoya.

A beautiful vibrant pink textured polish.

Zoya describes Zooey as a classic pink, textured PixieDust laced with a fine thread of gold and medium sized holographic hexes for an added layer of dimension.
I love this, and I’m not usually a big fan of pink polishes, but I love this one.
The glitter and shimmer in this polish are just SO beautiful, it makes you want to stare at it all day long.
The formula was great as well it only needed two easy coats!

Zoya Levi

Thursday, August 11, 2016

Hi, everyone! Today I have Zoya Levi to share with you!

Two coats of Levi by Zoya.

Such a beautiful gold textured polish.

So classy.

Zoya describes Levi as a beige gold textured PixieDust with medium-sized holographic hex glitter.
I absolutely love this polish. It’s so classy looking and has a pretty good formula. Honestly, at this point, I’m running out of things to say because all the polishes from this Seashells collection pretty much have the same kind of two-coat formulas, (except for Bay.)
So yeah… I’m done talking about this polish. HAHA.
Tomorrow will be the last polish from the Zoya Summer 2016 PixieDust collection!
I will say that all the nail polishes in this collection were very pretty, and fun to swatch! But after tomorrow it will be back to more random nail polish swatches, and nail art! Aren’t you excited!? Teehee.

Zoya Cece

Friday, August 12, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I have the last polish from the Summer 2016 Zoya Seashells collection to share with you!

Cece by Zoya.

A beautiful green textured polish. ♥

Zoya describes Cece as a full-impact green, textured PixieDust with a thin vein of gold creating a fizzy lemon-lime effect.
This polish certainly reminds me of lemons and limes, but of course, when I start imagining lemons and limes, I think about Sprite which is my favorite soda, although I don’t really drink soda often, haha.
Anywho, for this polish, I only needed two easy coats like almost all the other polishes in the collection!
I really like the bright spring/summer vibes this polish gives off; it’s very nice.

Zoya Sia & Sally Hansen Black and Blue

Sunday, August 14, 2016

Hey, guys! What’s up? Do let me know in the comment section below.
Today, I have more swatches! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been trying to focus a bit more on swatching the nail polishes I have in my collection, because I have hundreds of polishes I’ve never swatched or worn! So, for today I have two polishes I swatched/wore together.

Zoya Sia and Sally Hansen Black and Blue.

Such a lovely combination.

Mmm. Multi-chromatic polish.

For this manicure. I only used one coat, yes, just one coat of Zoya Sia, which Zoya describes as a true, royal blue cream, and one coat of Sally Hansen Black and Blue which I describe as a deep, sheer teal with a multi-chromatic finish that shifts from green to blue, and purple to pink, depending on the lighting.

I will say that I’m very impressed by the formula Zoya Sia has! I wasn’t expecting it to have such full coverage in just one coat!
Now, I was expecting Black and Blue by Sally Hansen to be like a sheer multi-chrome topcoat, so I wasn’t surprised by it being sheer.
The one thing I don’t like about Black and Blue is that it’s a little streaky, but aside from that, it’s a nice multi-chromatic polish that I definitely see myself wearing again this Fall.

Maybelline Styled Out

Friday, August 26, 2016

Hello, everyone! Today I’ve got this nail polish I’ve had in my collection for almost four years to share with you!!!

Two coats of Maybelline Styled Out, without topcoat.

Two coats of Maybelline Styled Out, with topcoat.

A lovely blue metallic. With topcoat.

Maybelline Styled Out is a medium-dark dusty aqua-leaning blue with flaky foil shimmer and a satin finish.
This is one of those polishes that I’m kicking myself for not wearing sooner because it’s so ridiculously pretty,
This polish has such a great formula; I still can’t believe I’ve had it for almost four years and never wore it.
I unquestionably see myself wearing this again during the fall! I absolutely love this polish. ♥

Red nails with White Polka Dots

Friday, September 30, 2022

A very very old throw-back manicure that I posted on various social media platforms, but never on here because this was long before I had this platform.

Here we have Red nails with White Polka Dots! 😀

You can tell this is an ancient picture lol.

This picture is over 10 years old 😲 You can easily tell by the quality lol. I took this picture on my Droid 3 camera phone haha. But honestly, I love looking back at my pictures like this. It goes to show how far I’ve come in terms of taking much higher-quality photos!!

I had to look back at my post on Pinterest to see what I used for this manicure.

Polishes used: Zoya America, Wet n Wild French White, & Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond.

America by Zoya was used for the red base, the white polka dots were French White by Wet n Wild, and I used a dotting tool to create the polka dots. Lastly, I topped the nail art with one coat of Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond. 😊 A very simple manicure I remember enjoying. It was around the first time I ever used a dotting tool, and I remember being so excited LOL.

But yes, I do plan on posting just about all of my older manicures from before I had this website because I want them on here and not just on other platforms, ya know? This isn’t the original picture  This is a slightly remastered version of it that you can see a bit more clearly. I tried to make it look a bit better without ruining the original look and feel of the picture.

Anyways, that’s actually all I have for right now. Don’t be surprised if some days I’m posting 2-3 times because like I said, I have a lot of photos from the far past and present!

As always, thank you so very much for your love and support. 💖This post has been updated as of 2/2/2024

Reminds me of Fall

Wednesday, October 5, 2022

Hello everyone.😊

Today I have two very very old manicures to share with you!

These are both almost 10 years old.😊

Since Fall is basically here, I thought I’d share both of these; they’re very similar, as I used the same nail polishes and water marble technique.

The first one I designed was like this.

The second one is from a little later that same year.

A little collage I pieced together. 🙂 I used to do this a lot back then.

I love this color combination so much, to this very day.

The nail polishes used for both manicures were: Sally Hansen Cinna-Snap, Sinful Colors All About You, Sally Hansen Black Out & Wet n Wild Sunny Side Up.

Strange Multi-chrome Water Marble

Friday, October 7, 2022

Hello everyone. Today I have another manicure from over 10 years ago! I initially called this manicure The Strange Duo-chromatic Water Marble; however, it was more multi-chromatic because it reflected more than two colors, so I’ve renamed it to the Strange Multi-chromatic Water Marble. 🙃

Strangely pretty

The nail polishes used for this manicure were: Zoya Reece, Zoya Adina, Zoya Ki, and Orly Shine on Crazy Diamond. I did the water marble design with the Zoya’s and I topped it off with the Orly.

Zoya Reece is described as a rose metallic duo-chrome, Zoya Adina is described as a violet metallic multi-chrome with a frosty hint of green and magenta, and Zoya Ki is described as a multi-chromatic shade combining silver, purple, blue, and green in a shimmery metallic finish.

All of the Zoya’s except for Reece are considered a multi-chromatic polish, so yes, this is definitely a multi-chromatic water marble design.

Although this water marble does look a bit strange, I still find it very beautiful, especially with the added holographic sparkle from Shine on Crazy Diamond. Anyway, I thought this one is also quite fall-appropriate so I thought I’d share this one for such a time as this, which is right now. 😉

As always, thanks for tuning in.💖
